UCF Associate Professor Chris Harris’ film SUNSHINE STATE (EXTENDED FORCAST) to screen at renowned Leeds Fest.
 UCF Associate Professor and world-renowned experimental film artist Christopher Harris does it again! Harris’ films have screened at festivals all over the world and this November, he will grab another noted laurel. Harris’ film SUNSHINE STATE (EXTENDED FORCAST) has been officially selected to screen at the 23rd annual Leeds International Film Festival in the United Kingdom. Harris film will falls under a selection entitled "Cherry Kino Shorts: Cameraless Films! (Revolting Bodies)" and will screen on Tuesday 17th November at 5pm in the Hyde Park Picture House. Christopher Harris’ awards winning experimental films have explored post-industrial urban landscapes, black outlaws, the cosmic consequences of the sun’s collapse and a child’s nightlight. His work has screened at festivals, museums and cinematheques throughout the United States and Europe including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the VIENNALE-Vienna International Film Festival, the San Francisco Cinematheque and Rencontres Internationales Paris among others. In 2009 Harris founded Sunspot Cinema, a unique group dedicated to bringing experimental film to the central Florida area. Sunspot Cinema collaborates with UCF Film to host visiting artists and present experimental film screenings in the Orlando area.
