Love Your Shorts Fest

Now Accepting Submissions! Regular Deadline Approaching. The Inaugural Love Your Shorts Film Festival wants your short films!
Love Your Shorts Film Festival will debut Feb. 11-13, 2011, in Sanford, Florida, a community that embraces the arts – and is now ready to add a movie festival to its art scene. We aren’t like the big film festivals, which we think is a good thing. We aim to treat our filmmakers more lavishly (and with more respect) than your more well-known fests. Our smaller and more intimate feel will make it easier to connect with your audience and fellow filmmakers. You’ll get more face time with the festival staff and meet our judging panel. And your odds at winning an award are increased.
We truly value the time, effort, and resources ($$) you put into your film and your film submission. We realize it’s time consuming and costly for you to put your film out to the world and because we know that we treat each submission we receive with the utmost respect and appreciation.
Yes, this is our first year. Yes, we are a smaller festival. But yes, Sanford LOVES your shorts!
Our goal is to encourage, promote, and recognize you. We want to be a starting point for a lot of up and coming filmmakers – show off your film to the masses and be honored for your artwork!
Love Your Shorts is also looking for volunteers for some fun things we have coming up so check out our website.
Visit http://www.LoveYourShorts.com/?p=1422 for more information on our festival.
And visit http://www.LoveYourShorts.com/?page_id=23 to submit your film.
Or email contact@LoveYourShorts.com if you have any questions.

One of the most provocative, controversial films in movie history, this comedy-drama is a funny, powerful, disturbing exploration of male/female relationships as seen through the eyes of two friends over a 20-year period, from college to middle-age.
Brilliantly shot by Giuseppe Rotunno in a spare, experimentalist style, written by Feiffer in stark, minimalist strokes, acted by Nicholson & co. with savage force, Nichols' film shocked audiences when it came out, and remains today one of the most profound, perceptive studies of sexual dysfunction ever put on screen.
Don't miss this legendary classic.
Work With Comic Greg Johnson
Comic Greg Johnson is seeking students who wish to volunteer to produce videos for his Orlando comedy workshop - see below:We want students to watch the improv workshops, pick characters and scenarios that they want to help write sketches for, and then help get it into standard film script format. Then, we would like to film a few sketches. Ultimately we want a DVD of it, and or put it on YouTube. The student will get experience working with professional actors and improv artists, and a copy of their work for their demo reel. If the finished sketch is sold to Izon Orlando they will get local exposure. If Izon sells advertising in it, they will pay us, and any money made will be divided evenly among the writer's and film crew.
Student must have own gear or access to gear. Course credit can be arranged if student is eligible.
