Showbiz Budgeting Software Demo. Special UCF Student Pricing!
There will be an online demo for the new film production budgeting software that UCF Film is now using, Showbiz Budgeting.
It will be held in Comm room 148

It will be conducted by Steve Bizenov, Media Services/ Showbiz Software Stores. Lisa Cook will be there and she urges you to attend if you intend to get into the film production business. It's an excellent program, includes cost reporting and petty cash tracking features. They are giving UCF a very special price of $49.95 (the usual price is $300). This UCF student price will be in place for 1 year only. "I strongly suggest you make the purchase - it's a great program and you will use it forever. And they have excellent support services," says Lisa Cook about the new software. The UCF Computer store will be selling it on campus very soon.

Christopher Harris' Film to Screen at 24th Annual Leeds Film Festival

Associate Professor Christopher Harris' internationally renowned experimental film, 28.IV.81 (Bedouin Spark) will screen at the 24th Leeds International Film Festival in the Cherry Kino Avant-Garde Programme “Night Jewels, Day Blooms” on Saturday November 6th, 2010.

UCF Film Grad Lands Gig With HBO!
2006 UCF Film Graduate Drew Lindo lands big with HBO. Drew is currently a writer's assistant on HBO's new hit series "HUNG."
Recently Jay Boyar interviewed Series Co-Creator Dmitry Lipkin about the series' main character, Ray Drecker (played by Thomas Jane), being a UCF Alum himself. Lipkin sites that Lindo was able to provide details about the University where Ray Drecker's charmed life as a star athlete began to come apart.

Panhandle Film Fest: Last Call For Entries

LAST CALL for Student entries.
The Florida Panhandle Film Festival needs some student films for screening at this years festival. The submission is waived due to the time left until the festival. The festival is November 4th- 7th, 2010 and we will still judge the submissions for an award. Students submission will stop on October 20, 2010.

"The Miseducation of Simon Kraus" Gets Buzz From indieWIRE.com
